The Eugene Dental Assisting Program utilizes a hands-on educational approach where students learn by doing. Students will be trained in a facility that allows them exposure to all types of dental procedures and technology. The program promotes our students’ clinical and academic excellence to prepare them to become competent dental professionals. Our comprehensive curriculum covers every aspect of dental assisting needed to start a career.

We give you the highest quality hours of clinical, hands-on patient experience in all modern techniques of dentistry. In addition, your training will take place at Oakmont Family Dental, the largest locally owned dental office in Eugene and Springfield.

This modern office uses CEREC machines, 3D Cone-beam CT, Invisalign, aesthetic techniques and materials, and more. Voted the best dental office in Eugene three years running, they have 6 different doctors who perform all of the various subspecialties of dentistry to give you a complete education. We also offer expertise of dental specialties that can be catered to individual preferences.

The Eugene Dental Assisting Program is an instructional program providing a 14-week Dental Assisting Course consisting of lecture, lab, and an internship with Oakmont Family Dental. Upon course completion, students will have the knowledge and skills to complete all necessary exams through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB):

  • Radiation Health and Safety Exam.
  • Oregon Expanded Dental Assistant Exam.
  • Oregon Basic Dental Assisting Exam.

Time Frame:

This 4-month program is a full-time commitment up to 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. This program is meant to be an intensive and complete education, and no previous dental experience is required.


Tuition is $10,000. A 50% down payment is required at the time of enrollment. The remaining balance can be paid over the course of the program. MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO GRADUATION.
